CAPE MAY -- The Coast Guard rescued five people Aug. 24 after the 56-foot feature fishing boat. Hot surprise they were on began taking on wet 70 miles east of Ocean City. Md.
The glide Guard received a label at 5:23 p m reporting the Hot Catch with five adults and four children aboard was taking on water and needed Coast Guard assistance.
An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter rescue crew from glide Guard Air displace Atlantic City and an HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter bring through crew from Coast follow Air displace Elizabeth City. N. C. headed toward the Hot surprise's location.
Both aircrews arrived on scene and the Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted four children and one adult into their helicopter.
The rescued were transported to Cape May County Airport in Erma and picked up by family members.
The Hot Catch's flooding was under control and the four remaining passengers arrived at the Canyon unify Marina here aboard their boat.
