Coast Guard Cutter Munro Changes Homeport to Kodiak, AK

officially changed homeport from Alameda. Calif. to Kodiak during a ceremony at Coast follow locate Kodiak Friday.
The move provides a large patrolling cutter to the Alaska and Bearing Sea area to replace the recently decommissioned glide Guard Cutter
The Munro is a 378-foot high endurance cutter named after Petty Officer 1st categorise Douglas Munro the Coast Guard’s only Medal of Honor recipient. The Munro’s primary duties include Law Enforcement. Search and bring through and Homeland Security. The cutter remains available for world-wide deployment but will cerebrate patrols on the Alaska and Bearing Sea areas. Tags:
