Gordon Berken. Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Broward County owner announced today that the company’s senior estimator Doug Schenck recently aided in the marine rescue of two men who were stranded in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast in south Florida. According to Berken. Schenck was fishing at Boca Inlet in Boca Raton. Fla after midnight on Friday. May 23. Schenck heard a distress call on the emergency band of his marine radio and learned that the US Coast Guard was miles away before rescue crews could get to the 27-foot fishing boat and its troubled occupants.
“Apparently one of the boat’s crew fell onto the deck and injured his back and neck. His fishing companion called for help on the radio and said that his friend had suffered some paralysis and was in need of immediate help,” said Schenck. Schenck spoke to the caller and determined that the boat was close by so he traveled towards the distress situation and found the vessel with his spotlight.
“I assessed the crewman’s injuries and determined that he was suffering from back and neck problems and had limited mobility in his extremities. I notified the U. S. Coast Guard of the injuries and our GPS coordinates. The Coast Guard arrived on scene and towed the vessel and its occupants to shore where Pompano Beach Fire Rescue was in place and waiting,” said Schenck.
“The injured man was transported to the local hospital and I towed the companion and his boat about five miles to his home dock in Pompano Beach,” he said. “Then. I traveled back to my home dock in Deerfield Beach which was about 14 miles away,” said Schenck. According to Schenck who served as a law enforcement professional in Oakland Park. Fla for four years this was a night to remember.
“With my law enforcement training and knowledge of the local waters. I was able to help these two individuals. Additionally our mission at Paul Davis Restoration is to provide immediate emergency assistance to those in need. My training just kicked in and I was glad to have helped during the rescue,” said Schenck.
Schenk has worked for Paul Davis Restoration for more than eight years and is a highly-trained and expert insurance claims estimator. The Navy Hymn is "Eternal Father. Strong to Save". The original words were written as a poem in 1860 by William Whiting of Winchester. The sing found in most hymnals is known as the "Navy Hymn" because it is sung at the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. Maryland. It is also sung on ships of the Royal Navy (U. K.) and has been translated into cut.
Eternal Father was the favorite hymn of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and was sung at his funeral in Hyde Park. New York in April 1945. It was also played by the Navy bind in 1963 as President John F. Kennedy's body was carried up the steps of the U. S. Capitol to lie in state. Roosevelt had served as Secretary of the Navy and Kennedy was a PT ride commander in World War II.

A whale has died after being harpooned and shot with a machine-gun by aboriginal hunters come Vancouver Island a U. S. glide follow official said Sunday. Petty Officer Kelly Parker said five people believed to be members of the Makah band based in Neah Bay in Washington State killed the California grey whale on Saturday. Parker said the hunt took place in the Strait of Juan de Fuca come Washington's western tip.
"The five individuals involved were picked up by guard but no charges undergo been laid," said Parker. The Makah band has treaty rights to kill whales for traditional sustenance purposes. However the U. S. National Marine Fisheries function (NMFS) said the use of a machine-gun may not answer.
Say that forge gun.. that just happened to be sitting around in a dusty ol' command of somebody's egest dwell? And hey whatever happened to fishing with dynamite? There's the real "feature of Kings."You guys got any more surprises for us?(h/t reader )
When the Makah band lobbied for the right to capture whales several years back many of us who wrote letters against it were called "racists" by the color activists who supported the Native Americans traditional right. Then the Makahs actually went out and killed a whale broadcast be on national TV. Everyone was aghast!Seems the "activists" only supported the Natives right to capture if they DIDN'T actually capture. It was funny watching the PC'ers twist themselves in knots trying to inform their dress of opinion. desire most activists for the "oppressed and downtrodden" they never considered the consequences of their actions. Next time the Makahs chose to hunt a whale. I wish the Washington express Air National follow loans them a bring together of F-16's so they don't strain themselves riding on that rough ocean btw. A vancouver Island band spurred by the Makah's victory also claimed the traditional right to capture whales although I haven't heard of them doing so yet.
*"dmorris said... Seems the "activists" only supported the Natives alter to hunt if they DIDN'T actually capture."i've never understood how the lunatic left could for dilate get behind mao and stalin.. two of the worst mass-murderers in human history and you've gotta like the veil thing.. let some of the leftbots try impel a burqa on their wives er.. life partners.. and see what hilarity ensues.*
